$Archer Aviation(ACHR)$ $Joby Aviation(JOBY)$ $ACHR and $JOBY are bidding for the insolvent $LILM.
The news that @ArcherAviation and @jobyaviation are positioning themselves as bidders for the insolvent German flying taxi "pioneer" @Lilium is a major setback, not only for the company itself, but also for Germany 🇩🇪 as a technology and innovation hub.
For years, $LILM was considered one of the most promising European startups in the field of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). The fact that international competitors could now take over the silverware once again highlights how difficult it is for German high-tech companies in the global innovation race, especially in capital-intensive, future-oriented industries. This failure is an alarming signal: If even visionary companies with cutting-edge technology, government support, and strong engineering capabilities are unable to survive in Germany, the country risks falling further behind.
New impetus, faster funding mechanisms, and a more innovation-friendly environment are urgently needed to prevent such developments in the future.
While the infrastructure for flying taxis (eVTOL), known as VertiPorts, is already being developed in the US, people in Germany are more interested in discussing vegan burgers 🍔🤣
