$蒙古焦煤(00975)$ Erdene Resource Development (ERD.TO) said Tuesday that the process plant at the Bayan Khundii gold mine in Mongolia operated at nameplate capacity for much of December.

Since the start of operations, Bayan Khundii has processed 144,845 tonnes of ore, averaging 1,508 tons per day (tpd). The company also averaged 77% of the 1,950 ton per day design capacity during the quarter.

Bayan Khundii is projected to process 650,000 tons annually and produce 85,000 ounces gold a year when operating at full capacity. Guidance will be updated once the mine completes the initial start-up phase, which is expected in the second quarter of this year, a statement said.
